23 “Do not spread false reports.^(A) Do not help a guilty person by being a malicious witness.^(B)

³ or if they find lost property and lie about it,^(A) or if they swear falsely^(B) about any such sin that people may commit—

“‘Do not deceive one another.^(C)

¹² “‘Do not swear falsely^(A) by my name^(B) and so profane^(C) the name of your God. I am the Lord.

¹⁶ “‘Do not go about spreading slander^(A) among your people.

“‘Do not do anything that endangers your neighbor’s life.^(B) I am the Lord.
